Article - Memories of Miniatura
Featuring a little bit of history and some lovely memories of Miniatura from the last 35 years.

"Spring 2018 at the National Exhibition Centre in the Heart of England will see the 70th Miniatura Show and landmarks like this always make us think about where it all began...."

Article - My Life with Miniatura
Pat Cutforth reminisces about how her fundraising for Cancer Research UK and Miniatura came together, a connection that has helped to raise over £250,000.

"...my life has indeed been bound up with the show since those careless days when I attended as a visitor with my seven year old Eleanor (now just turned forty!). These days I barely get to look around as we struggle to man our busy stand...."

Keeping up to date
The next show is on the 24th & 25th March 2018, it's our 70th event here in Birmingham, UK. The gallery pages are being updated regularly as exhibitors are confirmed and you can buy tickets in advance (see above)

We would also love to hear from you if you have any interesting stories to share. Right now we are thinking about unusual gifts. Have you ever bought something in miniature for your non-miniaturist friends or family? A copy of a bridal dress? A miniature set of clubs for an avid golfer?

1066 and all that

dateman bayeaux950th Anniversary of The Battle of Hastings

To mark the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings in 1066, Dateman Books have produced a book telling the story of the Norman invasion as seen through the Bayeux Tapestry.  The original tapestry is 70 metres long but only 50cm high so this book, which contains the whole tapestry in convenient sections is a slightly unusual shape.  The book measures 6.5cm wide and 2.2cm high.

Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas from all of us at Miniatura!

We hope you have a fantastic mini-making festive time and get some new year inspiration for your projects throughout 2015.

We know we'll see a lot of you at the Spring Miniatura in March and we'll bring you more news about that as it happens.

There will be workshops, there will be amazing miniatures and there will be a few extra special things and newcomers.

There will also be one or two changes that we hope will make it an even better experience for visitors.

We are also launching our ‘Spending Spree’ Competitions in all the major magazines – check out your favourite publication & be sure to enter for a chance to have more spending power during your visit.
