Nambucca's

Nambucca's Little Shoppe and Kathy B Miniatures

These two Australian miniaturists have been planning this trip for some time and we are very pleased to have them with their basketware by Lidi Stroud, IGMA Artisan of Nambucca's Little Shoppe (pictured) and flowers by Kathy Brindle.

It is always a treat to have exhibitors from so far afield and we are sure that Miniatura visitors will give them and their fantastic miniatures a warm welcome.

Workshops - The Polymer Clay Guild and The Rugby Miniaturists

Since we introduced the idea of these quick workshops to the shows they have grown in popularity, raised money for charity and added an enjoyable aspect to visitors day out.

This time the Rugby Miniaturists will be putting together a selection of kits, supported by Jennifers of Walsall whilst The Polymer Clay Guild will be continuing their excellent tradition of tuition and both groups will be displaying their own work.

Mini Mansions

NEW - Miniature Mansions by John Payne

"Our houses are built by combining the latest technology with traditional skills. The artistic skill of a sculptor is used to create the fine organic detail; whereas a plasterers skill is required to produce mouldings. These can either stand on their own, or be fashioned into architectural detail by the model maker. We will also be exibiting our range of resin moulding.

A professional finish is achieved by using the skills of an architectural model maker. The completed dolls house is truly the connoisseurs' choice."

Demonstrations and exhibits from Guild of Miniature Needle Arts, Miniature Needlework Society and Queen Elizabeth Dolls' Houses.

All three of these exhibits are well worth a look, each is a non-commercial stand which bring their work to the show purely for the visitors to enjoy. The volunteers at the stands are always a great source of information and full of inspirational enthusiasm.

The Miniature Needlework Society will be holding the presentation for their bedspread competition on the Saturday afternoon at Miniatura.

NEW Model Mates introduces and demonstrates a range of weathering sprays.

Alan Taylor will be demonstrating this new product at the show. It should appeal to anyone interested in any aspect of modelling that requires an 'aged' or 'distressed' look.

"Modelmates is a translucent, water soluble weathering spray dye that makes things look dirty, old and weathered. It's not paint. Use it on almost anything."
